Faced with inflation, companies in 26 sectors will be able to benefit from this Monday from the resilience plan to offset the rise in gas and electricity prices.

For Bercy, the objective is to support the competitiveness of companies and avoid shutdowns of sites that provide essential production.

Like all French people, companies are also affected by inflation.

From this Monday, the companies concerned will be able to benefit from the resilience plan and request their emergency gas and electricity aid to compensate for the rise in prices in these two sectors.

Up to 50 million euros in aid

A long-awaited measure since the announcement of this resilience plan, on March 16, by Jean Castex, then Prime Minister.

According to Bercy, it is a question of supporting the competitiveness of companies and avoiding shutdowns of sites that provide essential production.

Last Thursday, the European Commission validated the French plan and set the criteria for benefiting from it.

Companies must have made gas and electricity purchases that reach at least 3% of their 2021 turnover. And at the same time, they must have suffered a doubling of the price of gas over one year.

Depending on the level of losses, the aid can go up to 50 million euros.

This primarily concerns companies in 26 industrial sectors, including the steel industry, the manufacture of certain metals and even paper pulp.
