Since the flood season this year, the Ministry of Commerce has strengthened the monitoring and early warning of the operation of the market for daily necessities such as grain, oil, meat, eggs, milk, fruit and vegetables, and organized and guided local governments to formulate and improve flood control and supply guarantees in accordance with the working idea of "sufficient preparation in advance, timely and appropriate response, and stable supply". Emergency plans, carry out inspections related to flood control, increase the inventory of daily necessities, strengthen emergency duty, and earnestly do a good job in flood season disaster preparedness and market supply of daily necessities.
Recently, there have been large-scale heavy rainfall in many places in China, and relevant local commercial authorities have actively carried out flood control and supply guarantee work to ensure that the market supply will not be out of stock and keep stalling.
The Guangxi Department of Commerce implemented daily and weekly monitoring of commercial and trade circulation enterprises such as 5 large agricultural wholesale markets, 234 farmers' markets and supermarkets in the region, and organized local cities to find out the commercial inventory of materials in key supermarkets and wholesale markets.
Guangdong Province has strengthened the linkage between provinces and cities, and delivered daily necessities to areas affected by floods in a timely manner through direct dialing within the province or cross-city transfers.
The Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce has intensified efforts to organize the supply of "vegetable basket" products, and completed the purchase and storage of more than 10,000 tons of vegetables and pork from government reserves.
At present, the national necessities market is running smoothly, and the market supply in areas affected by heavy rainfall is generally sufficient.
According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Commerce, from June 20 to 26, the national market price of edible agricultural products increased by 0.3% compared with the previous week; the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables decreased by 0.2% compared with the previous week. Among them, the prices of leafy vegetables increased, such as rapeseed , Wholesale prices of spinach rose 5.6% and 4.1% respectively over the previous week.
In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will continue to closely track the impact of the flood situation on the market supply of daily necessities, strengthen market monitoring and early warning, make preparations for emergency deployment, guide relevant localities to strengthen inspections related to flood control, do a good job in the connection between production and sales, strengthen material reserves, and implement emergency duty.
