Around 3:00 am on the 30th, the Nakoso Thermal Power Station Unit 9 of Tokiwa Joint Thermal Power Station in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, stopped operation due to equipment trouble.
The Nakoso Thermal Power Plant is a large-scale thermal power plant with 600,000 kW, and supplies about half of the electricity for 300,000 kW to the TEPCO jurisdiction.
The Agency for Natural Resources and Energy is checking the situation.
