Cockpit and cabin crews at the airline Easyjet in Germany get more money.

During the negotiations for the two professional groups, both sides agreed, among other things, on one-off payments and a total of almost 8 percent higher remuneration, the Verdi union and the company announced on Wednesday.

The new contract runs until the end of March 2024.

Pilots will therefore receive a one-time payment of between 1125 and 3000 euros in October of this year.

The first salary increase of 2.5 percent will also come at this time.

In April 2023, the cockpit crews will again receive a one-time payment of up to 1,500 euros and a further increase of 2.5 percent.

There will be a third increase of 3 percent in October 2023.

According to Verdi, there is a one-off payment for flight attendants in October of this year of up to 4,500 euros.

Accordingly, salaries will also increase twice: in October by 5 percent and in April 2023 by 3.2 percent.

A few weeks ago, the union had emphasized the demands of the wage conflict with a warning strike at Berlin Airport BER and caused flight cancellations and delays.
