"Etihad Airways" announced the resumption of its direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Beijing, starting from June 29, which is the first international commercial flight to return to Beijing, based on the recent directives of the Chinese government.
In a statement, Etihad Airways said that the resumption of direct flights between the two capitals is a new achievement of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UAE.
Etihad Airways will operate a weekly flight on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the world's least fuel consuming aircraft.
The Senior Vice President for Global Sales at Etihad Airways, Martin Drew, stressed the importance of resuming commercial flights between Abu Dhabi and Beijing, after resuming the carrier's operations to Shanghai, pointing out that the return of flights between the two capitals will enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UAE.
