Soon a 100% electric version

Inside, the driver will be treated to the latest version of Peugeot's 3D i-cockpit and a compact steering wheel.

The vehicle only has an eight-speed automatic transmission and three engines are currently available.

Two plug-in hybrid engines – one 180 horsepower and the other 225 horsepower – and a 130 horsepower gasoline engine.

Say goodbye to diesel.

Peugeot also plans to offer a 100% electric version in the future.

A necessity if the brand wants to respect its commitment to offer a zero-emission range by 2025, ten years before the ban on sales of new thermal cars in Europe.

Peugeot has not communicated the price of this 408 which will be assembled at the Stellantis factory in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin).

The first deliveries are scheduled for early 2023.
