  Three Gorges Airport is located in Yichang City, Hubei Province. It is a national first-class air port. Since its opening in 1996, it has opened more than 50 domestic and foreign routes. It is an important regional airport radiating west Hubei, western Hunan, and eastern Chongqing. The most powerful "engine" of the empty economic zone.

In May 2020, the pile foundation project of the T2 terminal building of the Three Gorges Airport started.

  At present, the total area of ​​the terminal building of the Three Gorges Airport has been expanded to 73,800 square meters, which can guarantee an annual passenger throughput of 5 to 8 million.

The apron area of ​​the flight area is 137,000 square meters, with 21 parking spaces; the 3,200-meter runway and the 3,200-meter parallel taxiway can meet the take-off and landing standards of B767, A330 and below long-range wide-body passenger aircraft.

  In the next step, the Three Gorges Airport will push forward the construction of the international terminal at full speed to ensure the smooth acceptance of the international air port in March 2023. Lu opened the "bridgehead".
