Henan, Anhui, Sichuan, the outflow population exceeds 10 million, mainly to the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta

In the past ten years, the trend of population mobility in my country has become more obvious, and the size of the floating population has further expanded.

According to the seventh national census, my country's floating population is 375.82 million.

Compared with 2010, the floating population increased by 69.73%.

The floating population includes intra-provincial floating population and inter-provincial floating population.

Among the floating population, the inter-provincial floating population is 124,837,153.

Then, which provinces have the largest number of inter-provincial outflows (that is, the population whose household registration is in this province and whose permanent residence is in other provinces)?

Where did the population from the major outflow provinces mainly go?

The population is still gathering towards the southeast coast

The "China Population Census Yearbook 2020" recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics disclosed in detail the sub-item data of the seventh population census.

Judging from the data, the 10 provinces with the largest cross-provincial outflows are Henan, Anhui, Sichuan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hebei and Jiangsu.

These provinces are mainly distributed in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, Southwest China and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

Judging from the data, the exodus of people in Henan, Anhui and Sichuan provinces exceeds 10 million, and Guizhou, Guangxi and Hunan also exceed 8 million, and Jiangsu, the second largest economic province in the coastal area, also ranks in the top ten.

Niu Fengrui, a researcher at the Urban Development and Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, analyzed Yicai.com. From the perspective of the spatial distribution of population in the country, as my country's total population growth slows down, the national population map is still being reshaped. population is still gathering towards the southeast coast.

From a regional perspective, the areas of population outflow are mainly concentrated in Henan, Anhui, Hebei and northern Jiangsu in the Huanghuaihai Plain; Sichuan, Guangxi and Guizhou in the southwest and Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

According to Niu Fengrui's analysis of Yicai, the agricultural production conditions in the Huanghuaihai Plain are particularly good, the development is relatively early in history, and the population density is relatively large. In some places, the population per square kilometer exceeds 1,000 people. The trend is stronger.

These local economies are generally underdeveloped, and the ability of local cities to absorb surplus rural labor force is insufficient, so the driving force for population outflow is relatively strong.

Another area with more population outflows is the Greater Southwest region, including Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and southern Sichuan.

Although there are many mountains and less flat land, the population is relatively dense. Due to the inconvenience of the original transportation, it is one of the areas where the economic development of our country is relatively lagging behind. At present, the industrialization, urbanization, education, medical culture and other social and public services in these areas are not enough. The level of development is relatively low.

"The relationship between people and land is more acute in these places, and the motivation to seek better development opportunities is stronger." Niu Fengrui said.

The two lakes, Jiangxi and other places in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River also have a large population, and at the same time are close to the economically developed areas such as the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta and southern Fujian.

Niu Fengrui said that the economic development of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is one grade lower than that of the developed areas along the southeast coast. The local industrialization and urbanization ability to absorb rural surplus labor is weaker than that of the southeast coast. In addition, it is closer to the southeast coast, and the cost of cross-regional population transfer is relatively low. , so there is also a large outflow of the population to the southeast coast.

In terms of specific provinces, Henan, Anhui, and Sichuan, the three most populous provinces, all have more than 10 million people flowing out of the province.

Among them, in 2020, the population of Henan Province flowing out to other provinces reached 16.1009 million, which is the province with the largest population flowing out of the country.

From the perspective of the flow of people out of Henan, it still shows a trend of mainly flowing to the southeast coastal area.

From the data point of view, the provinces with the most concentrated outbound population in Henan in 2020 are Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Beijing, with 2.7736 million, 2.4659 million, 2.1972 million, 1.343 million and 1.2719 million respectively. The population flowing into these five provinces It accounted for 62.4% of the province's total outflow.

In addition, the population flowing into Xinjiang, Shandong, Tianjin, Fujian and Hebei also exceeded 500,000.

In general, the outbound population from Henan mainly flows to the southeastern coastal areas, especially the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions.

Compared with 10 years ago, the proportion of the outflow population from Henan to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai increased by 5.1, 2.3 and 1.4 percentage points respectively.

The outbound population from Henan to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai accounts for nearly 40% of Henan's outbound population, nearly 10% higher than 10 years ago.

On the whole, with the advancement of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and the construction of the high-speed rail network, the connection between Henan and the Yangtze River Delta has become increasingly close, and the proportion of population flowing to the Yangtze River Delta region has also increased.

Sichuan, Guangxi and Hunan prefer Guangdong, Anhui and Guizhou prefer Zhejiang

After Henan, Anhui, another populous province in central China, has 11.52 million people, ranking second.

From the data point of view, the outflow of Anhui’s population is mainly concentrated in the three developed provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai in the Yangtze River Delta, with 3.1399 million, 3.0808 million and 2.4265 million respectively. The total number of the three places has reached 8.6461 million, accounting for 8.6461 million of Anhui’s outflow population. 75%.

In contrast, although Guangdong is the fourth inflow destination of Anhui's population outflow, it is only 596,600 people, which is 24.6% of the third inflow destination of Shanghai.

Lin Fei, a researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Anhui Academy of Social Sciences, analyzed the first financial reporter that Anhui has close economic and trade ties with Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.

From the perspective of the province, there is a large number of people in northern Anhui flowing to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.

At the same time, population mobility is also a sociological phenomenon. For example, many people from northern Anhui and other places have come to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and more and more fellows have gathered through the “people lead people” and group development methods.

In recent years, in the process of building a world-class urban agglomeration with global influence in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, Anhui has deeply participated in the division of labor and cooperation in the development of the Yangtze River Delta, and a lot of production capacity of the two provinces and one city has been transferred to Anhui, which has a great driving effect on Anhui's economy. Obviously, it has led to the return of many expatriates who were originally in the two provinces and one city.

An analysis by the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics pointed out that in the 2020 census, 20,000 people will return to Anhui Province, which will increase to 97,000 in 2021, and the contribution rate to the growth of the permanent population will increase from 18% to 97%.

Sichuan, the most populous province in the west, also had a population of 10.3582 million.

In terms of outflow direction, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Chongqing ranked the top three, with 2.6231 million, 1.358 million and 1.1294 million respectively.

Among them, the population flowing into Guangdong accounted for 25.3% of the population flowing out of Sichuan, which was far ahead of all provinces.

The populations of Fujian and Jiangsu, which flow to the southeast coast, both exceed 600,000.

On the whole, the outflowing population from Sichuan mainly went to the four southeastern coastal provinces and Chongqing, a municipality directly under the Central Government in the west.

With the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration, the proportion of population flowing to developed coastal areas in Sichuan and Chongqing has declined in recent years, while the population flow between Sichuan and Chongqing has been increasing.

In addition to Sichuan, among the outbound population, Guizhou and Guangxi in the southwest have more than 8 million outbound populations.

Among them, the largest destination of Guangxi's outbound population is Guangdong, reaching 6.93 million, accounting for 85.4% of Guangxi's outbound population.

In contrast, the second largest destination, Zhejiang, was only 187,100.

The largest destination of the outbound population in Guizhou is Zhejiang, reaching 2.8275 million.

The second largest destination is Guangdong, with 2.0868 million people.

The third largest destination is Fujian, with 827,000 people.

Hunan, the most populous province in central China, also has more than 8 million people going abroad, ranking sixth in the country.

From the perspective of whereabouts, 5.1167 million people have flowed into Guangdong, accounting for 63.6% of Hunan's outbound population, while the second destination Zhejiang has only 716,200 people, only about 14% of the first destination Guangdong.

It is worth noting that although Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Beijing, Shanghai, and Fujian in the developed eastern coastal areas have a large population inflow, even the economically developed provinces also have some population outflows.

Among them, Jiangsu's outflow population reached 4.3521 million, ranking tenth in the country.

Niu Fengrui said that on the one hand, there is a certain gap in economic development in Jiangsu Province, and the northern Jiangsu region is also part of the Huanghuaihai Plain, with high population density and relatively underdeveloped economic development. and Shanghai.

On the other hand, Jiangsu's industrial and manufacturing industries are developed, and there are many people in southern and central Jiangsu who are engaged in product sales, such as manufacturers' agents, etc., so many people flow out.
