Beijing News (Reporter Liu Huan) On June 23, a reporter from the Beijing News learned that the Hunan Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau issued a new batch of food safety sampling notices showing that 11 batches of unqualified samples were detected.

Among them, one batch of Flammulina velutipes produced by Hunan Haiba Food Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Haiba Foods") was found to be banned benzoic acid and sodium salts.

Haiba Foods once rented the workshop of the enterprise involved in the Tukeng sauerkraut exposed at the 3.15 party this year to make "Tukeng" sauerkraut.

The notice shows that the enoki mushrooms (classic spicy flavor, bulk weighing, 2022/2/6) produced by Hunan Haiba Food Co., Ltd., the detection value of benzoic acid and sodium salt (calculated as benzoic acid) is 0.204g/kg, The standard is not to be used.

Data show that benzoic acid and its sodium salt are commonly used preservatives in the food industry, and have a good inhibitory effect on mold, yeast and bacteria.

Benzoic acid and sodium salts are relatively safe. A small amount of benzoic acid is non-toxic to the human body and can be excreted in urine without accumulation in the human body.

Long-term consumption of foods with excessive benzoic acid and sodium salts may be harmful to health.

It is worth noting that Haiba Foods once leased the workshop of the enterprise involved in "Tukeng sauerkraut" to process and sell "Tukeng" sauerkraut.

This year's CCTV March 15 Gala revealed that five companies including Hunan Chuanqi Vegetable Industry Co., Ltd. and Hunan Jinrui Food Co., Ltd. acquired and processed "earth pit" sauerkraut.

Among them, Jinrui Foods stated on March 16 that the earthen pond dishes in the CCTV video were used by Haiba Foods, which rented Jinrui Foods’ pickling workshop, but Haiba Foods did not respond at that time.

In order to understand the follow-up processing of Haiba Foods' batch of problematic products and the processing of "earth" pit sauerkraut in the rental workshop, on June 23, a reporter from the Beijing News called Haiba Foods several times according to the contact information retained by Tianyancha and the company's official website. , no one answered.

According to the data from Tianyancha, Haiba Food was established in 1998 and was formerly known as Huarong County Haiba Food Factory. Its business integrates acquisition, pickling, processing and sales. Branded kimchi, fish sauerkraut ingredients, sour beans, chopped peppers and other products.

It is worth noting that Haiba Foods has repeatedly involved food safety issues.

According to Tianyancha data, in 2017 alone, Haiba Foods was fined 5 times for the production and operation of food that did not meet food safety standards, with a total fine of 57,000 yuan.
