“Etihad Airways”: 12 countries completely lift travel restrictions related to “Covid 19”

"Etihad Airways" announced the promotion of "self-service" to complete travel procedures at Abu Dhabi International Airport, to keep pace with the great demand for flights with the beginning of the summer.

The company stated that this service gives "Etihad Airways" customers a smooth and comfortable travel experience, while being able to avoid long queues.

She explained that after completing travel procedures via the website, travelers can go to the "self-service" outlets to print the boarding pass, baggage cards, and complete the necessary procedures in less than two minutes.

And “Etihad Airways” revealed that the travel restrictions related to “Covid 19” had been completely lifted, for travelers to Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Egypt, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Oman, Switzerland, Turkey, and Britain.

John Wright, Vice President of Global Destinations and Airports Network Operations at Etihad Airways, said that with the lifting of many travel restrictions, Etihad Airways expects the number of passengers to rise significantly during the summer holidays.

He added: "To improve the guest experience, (Etihad Airways) offers greater options for self-service at Abu Dhabi International Airport, allowing them to bypass long queues by completing travel procedures electronically, and the highly-acclaimed (Mu'tamad to Travel) service."

Etihad Airways indicated that it is preparing to receive large numbers of passengers from Abu Dhabi International Airport between June 30 and July 15, 2022.

And she stated that with regard to destinations that contain travel restrictions, it is recommended to visit “Manage My Booking” on the “Etihad Airways” website, and send travel documents related to “Covid 19”, so that the approval is sent to the traveler via e-mail, which gives travelers more convenience. Ensure that the required documents are met and allow the use of the fast track through “Mutamad to Travel” offices when completing travel procedures.

And the carrier pointed out that, from June 30 to July 31, travelers can check-in from 24 hours to four hours before their trip at the “Sky Park” building opposite the airport, where they will benefit from two free hours of parking, and get either 2,500 miles from the “program.” Etihad Guest” for free or for five kilograms of extra baggage weight. Noting that this service is available from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Arrive early

"Etihad Airways" indicated the possibility of completing travel procedures online, and arriving early at the airport to clear the rest of the procedures.

Boarding is closed on all Etihad Airways flights 20 minutes prior to departure.

Etihad Airways stated that, to provide more facilities for the travel experience, travelers are now able to complete their travel procedures from home by visiting the website etihad.com/homecheckin up to seven hours before the flight time.

This service allows passengers to reserve their luggage, choose their seats, and receive boarding passes and baggage tags from home in Abu Dhabi.
