“In general, 43.7 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been threshed across the country, 213.6 thousand tons have been threshed,” the ministry said.

In some regions, spring sowing is being completed, work has been carried out on an area of ​​53.3 million hectares, compared to 51.8 million hectares in 2021.

In addition, the sowings of sugar beets, sunflowers, rapeseed, soybeans and potatoes have increased.

The ministry added that Russia will be able to maintain a stable situation in the domestic food market and strengthen its export potential, since the total sown area in 2022 compared to 2021 should increase by 0.9 million hectares to 81.3 million hectares.

As previously reported, the Russian government will allocate more than 900 million rubles for the introduction of modern technologies in agriculture.
