Mitsubishi Electric, which has been found to have fraudulent inspections on multiple products, has been required by law to obtain certification for equipment that manages electric locks and air conditioning in buildings from 10 years before the shipment of products began. It was revealed that the prescribed test was not conducted.

What we have not tested is a device called "controller" provided by our subsidiary "Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions", which is used for security equipment such as electric locks in buildings and air conditioning management.

According to the company, this product was shipped with a third-party certification called the "PSE mark", but 10 years before the shipment began, the tests required by the law required for certification have been conducted. It means that it wasn't.

The number of units shipped without testing is 31,930.

The cause was that the person in charge at Mitsubishi Electric did not fully recognize the required tests when communicating with a third-party organization to obtain the certification.

According to Mitsubishi Electric, even if it continues to be used as it is, there will be no effect, but since the shipment of the product has already stopped, we will take measures such as installing new equipment in the future.

Mitsubishi Electric says, "We deeply apologize to our customers and related parties. We will take thorough measures to prevent recurrence and strive to restore trust."
