The retail price of regular gasoline this week was 173.9 yen per liter on average nationwide, up 2.7 yen from last week.

The price increase is for 3 consecutive weeks.

The main reason for this is the rise in crude oil prices, as demand has increased due to the lifting of strict restrictions on going out for the new corona measures in Shanghai, China, and the supply and demand of crude oil will become tight in the future.

Although the rise in gasoline prices has been suppressed to some extent by the effect of government subsidies, the price is still high.
