  Reporter Song Yusheng

"Do you still remember the dream of being a knight in your childhood?" "Would you like to travel around the rivers and lakes with me and see the great rivers and mountains of Ganzi?"

Recently, Liu Hong, director of Sichuan Ganzi Prefecture Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, became popular on the Internet.

In the short video, Liu Hong is dressed in ancient costume and hat, like a knight in a martial arts novel.

Many netizens also liked in the comments: "This is a bit too handsome" "It's a pity that you don't go to the costume drama, Director."

At the same time, some netizens noticed that the location of Liu Hong's video was Wuxuhai, a scenic spot in Ganzi Prefecture. Many people began to search for this location on the Internet, and some left a message: "The director really worked hard to promote the beautiful scenery of Ganzi."

In fact, this is not the first time that Liu Hong has become popular on the Internet.

More than a year ago, when Liu Hong led the team to Guangdong, because he helped Ding Zhen block fans, he was unexpectedly surrounded by fans because of his tall and handsome appearance, which caused concern.

Since then, he has opened his own account on platforms such as Douyin. During this period, he has released many short video works and tried different styles.

A director, why do you insist on making short video works?

What has the road of "Internet celebrity" for more than a year brought to the director?

Liu Hong recently accepted an exclusive interview with a reporter from China-Singapore Finance and Economics.

The following is the interview transcript:

Zhongxin Finance and Economics reporter:

You first opened an account to send short videos last year.

What was the reason behind the decision to make a short video?

Liu Hong:

In the past, we used the traditional publicity model for tourism promotion, and invited everyone to participate in our promotion meeting offline.

At that time, we felt that our influence was limited, but we didn't know what communication method could better introduce us to Ganzi.

Last year, because I became an Internet celebrity myself, I felt the power of the Internet.

I think the reach of the Internet is too broad.

So we thought, why not travel through the Internet.

This not only saves manpower and material resources, but also expands the spread.

So I opened an account on Douyin, Kuaishou and other platforms last year to promote the scenery and culture of Ganzi.

Zhongxin Finance and Economics Reporter:

It has been more than a year since you posted a short video.

During this period, did you pay attention to the comments of netizens?

Are there any needs, ideas or suggestions from fans who travel to you or relevant departments?

Liu Hong:

I pay attention to feedback from netizens every day.

The short video we shot combines the natural scenery and culture of Ganzi, and you can intuitively see what the market's reaction is, including what netizens or tourists are interested in in Ganzi, some people like to watch our natural scenery of Ganzi, and some prefer to watch our cultural connotation.

At the same time, I also paid attention to the feedback of some tourists after they arrived in Ganzi.

I am very concerned about the evaluation of tourists, especially the evaluation of the quality of our tourism services.

For example, what are we not doing well, what hotels still have problems.

After seeing the feedback, I will call the cultural and tourism directors of the 18 counties/cities in Ganzi based on these problems and tell them what kind of problems they have found in your county and how we should deal with them.

We do not shy away from these voices on the Internet, and we are all actively in touch with them to understand the situation.

Some tourists have raised questions about infrastructure, and we in Ganzi can't change that anytime soon.

We'll tell them what we're doing that we'll improve in the future, and we'll be grateful.

In this way, we use these platforms to understand the feelings of tourists to our Ganzi, and also understand what we need to improve.

Zhongxin Finance and Economics Reporter:

Has making short videos brought any changes to yourself?

Liu Hong:

For me personally, after short videos become popular, they will be recognized wherever they go, and people ask for a group photo every day.

From last year to now, for more than a year, I have never refused a photo request.

Because I think that after I took a photo with you, they sent the photo to publicize our Ganzi. I hope to attract more people to know about Ganzi and walk into Ganzi.

In fact, shooting short videos takes up a lot of my personal rest time.

On weekdays, the unit has a lot of things to deal with, and short videos are usually taken during holidays or weekends.

My work mainly faces the 96 scenic spots in our Ganzi Prefecture.

When I go to the scenic spot to work, I also take some short videos.

Zhongxin Finance and Economics Reporter:

Why did you start shooting short videos of the image of "Heroes in Ancient Costumes" recently?

Liu Hong:

Historically, Ganzi was located in a trade route, including the ancient tea-horse road at that time.

The reason for choosing the form of martial arts style is that the South Asia Corridor of the Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road once passed through Ganzi Prefecture.

At that time, there were merchants and horse teams passing by, and there were also post stations, escort bureaus and knights in charge of escorting along the way.

We have seen ancient escorts escorting goods in Jin Yong's novels.

I think that maybe we were like that back then, but people today can't see the scene at that time.

We want to use such short videos to let netizens feel the economic and cultural integration of Tibetan and Han ethnic groups across time and space.

postscript

In Liu Hong's view, shooting short video works not only made him an "Internet celebrity", but he valued more people to see the beauty of Ganzi and let more people know about the land of Ganzi.

Today, Ganzi Prefecture is adding red cultural tourism on the basis of natural beauty.

At the end of the interview, Liu Hong specially told reporters that recently, all the toll scenic spots in Ganzi Prefecture have implemented preferential policies for tickets.

Before September 30 this year, the Ganzi Prefecture Scenic Spot is free of tickets for all students and 50% off for all domestic and foreign tourists; before December 31, tickets for all medical staff are free.

"Welcome everyone to come to Ganzi and get to know Ganzi, I am waiting for you in Ganzi!" (End)
