The "Make in the UAE" forum kicks off with the participation of 1,300 investment entities

The activities of the "Make in the UAE" forum, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology under the slogan "Investment.. Partnership.. Growth", kicked off today in Abu Dhabi and will last for two days at the ADNOC Business Center, with the participation of a wide range of major local and international industrial companies, government agencies and financial institutions.

The forum, which is organized in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, provides an important platform for presenting local investment opportunities in the industrial sector, in addition to attracting investments, and promoting and empowering the industrial sector and advanced technology in the country, in order to support efforts to diversify and develop the national economy of the UAE.

The forum will witness the participation of more than 1,300 investment entities and businessmen from different countries. During its sessions, more than 20 decision-makers and managers of major industrial companies and government agencies will talk about many important topics and strategic visions that affect various aspects of the sector.

During the forum, major national companies offer opportunities to invest billions of dirhams in various fields, most notably the defense industries, petrochemicals, metals, electrical appliances and equipment, rubber and plastics, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, food and beverages, agricultural technology and others.

The event will witness the signing of many memoranda of understanding, commercial agreements and industrial partnerships.

Government agencies will also provide incentives, such as financing a large proportion of capital expenditures for projects, with grace periods to repay loans and with interest less than the interest approved in loans, and other financing solutions.

During its sessions, the forum will discuss important topics including investment opportunities in the industrial sector, expectations of demand for products and services, and manufacturers' foresight for the future of the industry.
