Gold rises globally with the decline of the dollar
Gold prices rose globally, today (Monday), with the decline of the US dollar.
By the time (0:45 pm UAE time), gold prices in spot transactions rose by 0.21% to $ 1843.35 an ounce, while gold futures contracts increased by 0.26% to $ 1845.1 an ounce.
As for other precious metals, silver rose 0.32% to $21.65 an ounce, platinum rose 0.86% to $938.15, and palladium rose 0.92% to $1813.5.
Gold prices fell last week on the impact of the dollar's rise after the US Federal Reserve raised interest rates, followed by a similar hike from most central banks around the world.
