His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, President of Dubai Airports, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airlines and the Group, and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Supervision of the Expo 2020 Dubai region, said: “With the directives, support and continuous follow-up of our wise leadership, (Expo 2020 Dubai) recorded a historic achievement in the record of the international event spanning 170 years, by organizing an exceptional session by all standards, which brought the world together in a spirit of optimism and hope, at a time when humanity was in dire need of meeting, communicating and working together to create a better future.
His Highness said, in a speech on the occasion of the announcement of "Expo City Dubai", that "thanks to the sincere efforts of everyone who contributed to this national project, we have set new standards for upcoming global events bearing the imprint of the UAE and its approach to cooperation with everyone for the good of all." "With the vision of our leadership, we move forward and continue to work."
His Highness continued, "In the site that has become a prominent landmark and has acquired great global importance, we are launching today a new phase of positive impact from Dubai and the UAE to the region and the world," noting that "Expo City Dubai will be an integrated destination, providing the ingredients for success and promoting a culture of joint work, In a global and sustainable growth system, based on the Expo’s legacy of cooperation, innovation and purposeful work that takes into account our environment and the future of future generations.”
