The second phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 4 officially opened at 12:00 on June 18. Since then, the operating mileage of Chongqing Rail Transit has reached 450 kilometers.
The second phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 4 is the backbone line in the planning of the Chongqing rail network. It crosses Tongluo Mountain from west to east, connects the central valley and the eastern valley of the central city of Chongqing, and passes through Jiangbei District and Liangjiang New District. The total length of the line is 32.8 km, with 15 stations and 1 depot.
With a total investment of 15.5 billion yuan, the project started construction in July 2019.
In terms of technology, China Railway Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. said that it will use the Internet of Things and video intelligent analysis technology to build smart stations and characteristic stations.
It is worth mentioning that, for the first time in Chongqing rail transit, the cooling and heating zones of trains have been realized to meet the needs of different passengers for cooling and heating.
