On June 16, the National Development and Reform Commission held a regular press conference for June. At the meeting, regarding the price situation in China, Meng Wei, a spokesman for the National Development and Reform Commission, said that in May, my country's prices continued to run smoothly, and the upstream and downstream price trends became more coordinated. .

Among them, the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 2.1% year-on-year, the same as the previous month, and decreased by 0.2% month-on-month; the industrial producer price index (PPI) decreased to 6.4% year-on-year, the increase narrowed by 1.6 percentage points from the previous month, a continuous 7 months down.

She also introduced that in May, the CPI in the United States and the United Kingdom rose by 8.6% and 9% year-on-year respectively, continuing to hit a new high in 40 years; the CPI in the euro zone reached a year-on-year increase of 8.1%, a new record high; many emerging economies CPI rose by more than 10% %, and even more than 50% in a few countries.

Therefore, China's price level is much lower than that of major economies such as the United States and Europe, and continues to play an important "stabilizer" role in global prices.
