Reshetnikov added that currently the inflation rate has fallen to 16.6%.

The second figure, according to the minister, is an estimate of the decline in Russia's GDP this year.

Reshetnikov said that cautious optimism could be expressed here.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development said that Russia is slipping into a deflationary spiral.

He also expressed hope that the trend to reduce the key rate of the Central Bank will continue.
