The new council aims to exchange experiences and skills among the members of the council, identify best practices in facing future challenges in the field of internal auditing, and enhance the UAE's reputation as a center for good governance in the public and private sectors.

He added: "There are multiple challenges that internal auditors will face worldwide, including the amazing technical development that has become part of the nature of work in the field of internal auditing. Therefore, auditors must constantly upgrade their capabilities to keep pace with these challenges, and consider it an opportunity to develop themselves and their institutions."

He continued, "Our role as an association will be directive only, as council members will determine the issues they would like to discuss during their meetings, and we help them set the meeting's agenda and contribute to the selection of speakers in the discussion session."

Abdul Qader indicated that the council will have an important role in spreading the culture of excellence in the field of internal auditing, as it constitutes a professional platform for integration, exchange of experiences and knowledge, learning about the experiences of others, and how to deal with specific problems that occurred with their colleagues who, in turn, will transfer these experiences to internal audit affiliates in their institutions.

He said, "We plan in the coming period to expand the scope of the council to include internal auditors in the countries of the region, with the aim of spreading interest and knowledge."
