The number of foreign tourists who visited Japan last month was 147,000, exceeding 100,000 for the second consecutive month.
By country, Vietnam has the highest number of 39,000, recovering to almost the same level as in the same month three years before the spread of the infection.
The Tourism Bureau of the Japanese Government said that the main factor was that the upper limit of the number of immigrants per day was relaxed from 7,000 to 10,000 in April, and this month it will enter the country. Since the upper limit of the number of tourists has been raised to 20,000 and the acceptance of immigration for tourism purposes has resumed, it is expected that the number of foreign tourists will continue to increase in the future.
