<Anchor> This

is a friendly economic time.

Today (15th), I will be with reporter Han Ji-yeon.

It is said that the loss compensation confirmation payment started yesterday.

But I was also confused about this, is it different from loss compensation?

<Reporter>

There are many people who are confused not only by anchors but also by small business owners.

Loss compensation is paid on a quarterly basis.

The loss compensation is a one-time support similar to the existing 'Quarantine Support Fund'.

Earlier, 'expedited payment' was made from the 30th of last month.

A company that had already confirmed a decrease in sales was able to receive it without separate documents.

This confirmation payment is a process in which small business owners, who are not subject to expedited payment, also receive a payment through government confirmation when they submit supporting documents.

Confirmation payments are subject to 230,000 small businesses.

You can receive a minimum of 6 million won and a maximum of 10 million won.

Due to the document verification process, it is expected that it will take up to three weeks, but there have also been letters of confirmation from self-employed people saying that they received the money on the day of application.

Also, there was a post that said that it was excluded from expedited payment, but it was subject to payment by adding documents and re-applying.

How do I apply for <Anchor>

<Reporter> The

application deadline is not tight.

You can submit supporting documents on the Loss Compensation website by the 29th of the following month.

If you find it difficult to apply online, you can apply by visiting the regional center of the Small Business Market Promotion Corporation after making a reservation in advance.

You can file an appeal even after you have been notified that the payment cannot be made.

Another thing to note is that you can receive it even if your sales have increased.

Among businesses that have received the 1st and 2nd quarantine subsidies, if they have implemented quarantine measures, such as business hours restrictions, after August 16, 2020, you can receive a basic amount of 6 million won by submitting a confirmation of implementation of the administrative order.

Let's look at some other news.

From today, sharing a taxi is allowed.

<Reporter>

You use Kakao Taxi a lot these days.

It is possible to share a ride only through such an intermediary platform, but there are a lot of conditions that stick to this and that because many people are afraid of sharing a ride with someone they don't know.

First of all, taxi drivers are not allowed to share a ride at will, and this is only possible if all passengers have applied for a shared ride through the platform. The number of people who can ride depends on the size of the taxi.

A medium-sized taxi with less than 2,000 cc or less, that is, a taxi that seats five or less, can be shared only with males and females only if the passengers are of the same gender.

In standard or luxury taxis with a capacity of more than 2,000 cc, or in large taxis with more than 6 people, such as vans, sharing is possible regardless of gender.

In addition, information must be provided so that the other passenger's boarding location, time, and destination can be known.

Information on available seats must also be communicated to passengers prior to boarding.

Although the conditions have become very strict, it seems it has been a very long time since a joint ride like this was allowed anyway.

<Reporter>

You can tell when a taxi ride was ever a thing, but it was popular in the 70s and banned in 1982.

This time, it will be resurrected after 40 years.

In the past, taxis stopped in the middle because the driver took additional rides at will, regardless of the passenger's will, and because they continued to argue over fares about getting back to their destination, shared rides have been banned so far.

However, since 2019, 'half and half taxi' has been operating in Seoul.

A similar type of platform service is being implemented in Incheon and Pohang.

'Half-half taxi' automatically connects a vehicle that matches 70% of the passenger's movement line by selecting a ride-hailing call through the app, and the fare is automatically calculated in proportion to the distance used.

It is known that major platform operators are also considering introducing such a shared ride service in the future.

It's really hard to get a taxi at night these days.

It is hoped that some of the ride difficulties can be alleviated.
