The first weekend after the strike.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Cargo Solidarity had a long conversation for 10 and a half hours on Saturday and 8 and a half hours on Sunday, in total for 19 hours.

At the start of the talks on Saturday, the government came up with a new proposal, which opened the door for dialogue.

The government has proposed to change the framework of dialogue between the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Cargo Solidarity, and to issue a four-party joint statement with the ruling party, the People's Power, and the Trade Association and Cement Association, which are representatives of cargo owners.

The Cargo Solidarity also welcomed the approval of the National Assembly and the company in order to maintain the safe fare system, which is a key issue.

Therefore, the Cargo Solidarity continued to adjust for an agreement, backing down to the level of actively discussing the existing position that the safe fare system should be significantly expanded.

The atmosphere that went all the way to the signing of the agreement was broken in the last hour.

When the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport came up with an agreement at the last minute and offered to sign only the two sides as it was originally, the Cargo Solidarity rejected it.

[Park Yeon-soo / Cargo Solidarity Policy Planning Director: The agreement on the wording is over, and before the time of the announcement, the Cargo Solidarity protested what it meant that a joint statement was not possible here.]

The Cargo Solidarity said that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport went out to have a final discussion, saying that the people's power was against it and reversed its position.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport pushed forward with the agreement in consultation with the People's Power working group due to the urgent situation, but explained that the contents did not seem to have been delivered to the high-ranking officials of the ruling party in advance.

In this way, the dialogue was broken, and the government and the freighter solidarity passed another day without a schedule for further dialogue.
