On June 10, the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a series of press conferences on the theme of "This Decade of China".

An Lusheng, deputy director of the National Railway Administration, said that at 10:22 on June 4, the D2809 train from Guiyang North to Guangzhou South Station was traveling at the Yuezhai Tunnel entrance before the entrance of Rongjiang Station on the Guiguang Line. We are deeply saddened by the derailment, injuring 2 train crews and 10 passengers, and the unfortunate death of 1 EMU driver.

After the accident, the railway department immediately launched an emergency response, quickly dispatched a working group to the scene, and worked with the local government to organize emergency rescue and follow-up work.

According to preliminary investigation and analysis, the accident was mainly due to continuous local rainfall and short-term heavy rainfall. The train hit a debris flow that suddenly slipped into the line during high-speed running, causing the derailment of No. 7 and No. 8 trains.
