We also learned recently that it would bear a name as poetic as it is well indicated: the Cielo, or sky in Italian, for those who have not made the connection.

The sky can be appreciated in all circumstances, because the glass roof – electrically retractable in 12 seconds – contains liquid crystals that make it opaque or completely transparent with the simple press of a button.

With 1,540 kilos on the scale, the Cielo is barely 40 kilos heavier than the MC20 coupé.

The 630 hp of the 3.0-litre V6 therefore only needs an extra tenth of a second to sprint from 0-100 km/h (3 seconds against 2.9), and take the car beyond 320 km/h .

We let you be the judge, but we find the MC20 Cielo to be a real aesthetic marvel.

And we must also be very satisfied with it at Maserati, as evidenced by the enormous trident which sits proudly on the rear bonnet.

The price is around 265,400€.
