[Explanation] Cherries are known as "the first fruit in early spring". Late-ripening cherries that have been introduced for nearly 30 years have become the new favorite in the fruit market in Kashgar, Xinjiang.

Cherry planting has enabled fruit farmers to live a well-off life, and has also brought fire to rural tourism.

  [Explanation] Recently, in the cherry orchard of Mixia Town, the most concentrated cherry planting area in Shache County, the reporter saw the red and dark fruits of the cherry trees hanging on the branches.

Fruit farmer Amytinyaz Yusup is picking cherries in his cherry orchard, and the trees are full of cherries that make him smile and bloom.

Having tasted the sweetness of cherry planting, he plans to contract more land to plant cherries this year.

  After we planted cherries, things got better and better. We have an income of 100,000 yuan a year. We have a private car, a taxi and a loader at home. We plan to buy a taxi this year.

  [Explanation] Compared with other producing areas, the Kashgar area is located between 37-39 degrees north latitude, with mild winter climate, unique water, soil, light and heat, and the quality of the fruit produced is good.

The products are exported to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities, which has greatly promoted the development of the industry.

According to Gong Peng, a researcher at the Institute of Horticultural Crops, Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, cherries are known as "the first branch of spring fruit" and "treasures" in fruit.

It has an early ripening period and was successfully introduced in Kashgar, filling the blank period of fresh fruit in this period.

  We have built a lot of greenhouses now, and what we want to promote now is facility cherries. After the facility cherries are promoted, their value will be higher, and they will be available in April. This season is blank in the country, and there is no fruit.

  [Explanation] The local villagers have increased their income by planting cherries, running farmhouses, and tourism, and also provided new employment opportunities for the villagers.

According to Li Xinmin, secretary of the branch of Sharma Lebage Village, the yield per mu of cherry orchard is 500-800 kilograms, the price ranges from 40-100 yuan, and the income of the growers is about 30,000-50,000 yuan.

  Through our cherry planting, we drive employment, and more than 900 people choose their own jobs.

At present, 16 homestays have landed in Cherry Orchard, and we plan to reach 20 by next year.
