An Emirati delegation visits the Kingdom to increase mutual investments

The Ministry of Economy announced that a high-level Emirati delegation headed by Economy Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri will leave today, Thursday, for the Kingdom of Morocco, to discuss ways to enhance prospects for joint cooperation, and explore promising investment opportunities in the two countries' markets and enhance them during the next stage.

The "Economy" stated in a statement that the volume of non-oil trade exchange between the two countries amounted to 3.1 billion dirhams in 2021, achieving a growth of 44% compared to 2020.

According to the ministry, the visit aims to enhance joint cooperation between the two business communities, and motivate the private sector and businessmen to contribute more to advancing development and joint investment between the two countries.

The visit will include organizing a dialogue session on investment opportunities in the future, organized by the "Investopia Global Initiative", with the participation of a number of companies, businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs and small and medium companies from the two countries, to study new opportunities to build development and sustainable partnerships that will move the strategic relations between the two brotherly countries towards new levels. Higher than cooperation and integration, and benefiting from the global expertise possessed by the Investopia Summit in developing the economic and commercial sectors in the Kingdom of Morocco.

It is scheduled to discuss the sectors of joint cooperation during the visit, as they are the main engines for the development of the relations of the two countries in the next stage, at the forefront of which are: energy and renewable energy, industry, trade, mining, tourism and infrastructure, communications and information technology, food security, transportation and logistics services, Agricultural technology, entrepreneurship, and other sectors supporting the economy of the future.

The UAE ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Al-Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, will participate in the visit, while the participating state delegation includes a number of government agencies, most notably the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Emirates Council for Investors Abroad, as well as representatives of a number of sector institutions Private and investment companies in the country, notably the Sharaf Group, the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), the Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries Company (Julphar), the LIFCO Group, and the Global Jet Technic Company.
