When the balance of a bank account exceeds the overdraft authorization, it is usual to be debited with a chargeback fee.

And while the government intends, after the legislative elections, to present a bill to support the purchasing power of consumers, the UFC-Que Choisir, our partner, is sounding the alarm.

In a press release published on June 7, the consumer association urges the authorities to reduce the amount of these penalties, but also to impose on banks the systematic reimbursement of duplicate charges for the rejection of direct debits.

In this context, we suggest that you, for the production of our next Consumer Brief, ask all your questions about these bank charges.

An expert from UFC-Que Choisir will answer it on video.

Want to know why these fees are so high?

If they are capped?

Or whether or not the bank is obliged to notify you of the application of this sanction?

Are you wondering if the reimbursement of a duplicate chargeback charge is possible?

Ask us your questions.
