In the past, during the holidays, banks often launched special wealth management products to promote the festive atmosphere to attract customers to buy. At the same time, there were also various special offers.

A few days ago, the "Securities Daily" reporter contacted a number of bank wealth management managers and found that compared with the past, fewer banks have promoted the "Dragon Boat Festival" exclusive wealth management products this year, and even most banks have not launched "Dragon Boat Festival" related products.

The industry generally believes that in recent years, banks have not been enthusiastic about launching holiday-specific wealth management products, mainly due to factors such as new asset management regulations and changes in the wealth management product market.

Dragon Boat Festival financial management "atmosphere has faded"

The reporter observed and found that during the Dragon Boat Festival this year, the exclusive financial management market was slightly "quiet". Large banks were not very active in launching "Dragon Boat Festival-exclusive" wealth management products. Most of the Dragon Boat Festival-related activities they launched had nothing to do with financial management.

For example, the Hubei Branch of Bank of China launched activities such as participating in the Bank of China mobile banking lottery to send gifts and WeChat instant gold reduction from June 3 to June 10; Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Dalian Branch launched the Dragon Boat Festival gift package activities, including surrounding tourist attractions 12% discount on tickets, parking fees as low as 1 yuan activities, etc.

"In the past two years, banks have rarely issued holiday-specific wealth management products." A wealth management manager of a bank told the "Securities Daily" reporter that the bank did not launch "Dragon Boat Festival" exclusive wealth management this year.

She said frankly that the financial products released on the festival are not too different from the usual ones.

From the data point of view, the reporter searched China Wealth Management Network with the keyword "Dragon Boat Festival" and found that only 4 holiday-specific wealth management products were launched, and the issuing banks were small and medium-sized banks such as city commercial banks and rural commercial banks.

In addition, the reporter learned about the situation from the bank online, and the official customer service of many large banks confirmed that "there is currently no wealth management product related to the Dragon Boat Festival." But no related products have been found this year.”

Jiang Han, a senior researcher at Pangu Think Tank, told the "Securities Daily" reporter that in the past, holiday-specific wealth management products were mainly short-term and high-yield, and the purpose of their design was to meet the need for idle funds to earn income during holidays.

In recent years, the 'disadvantage' of holiday-style wealth management products has become a normal trend.

With the introduction of new regulations on asset management, bank wealth management business is gradually moving towards net worth and standardization.

Yang Haiping, researcher at the Securities and Futures Research Institute of the Central University of Finance and Economics and general manager of the Research and Development Department of Inner Mongolia Bank, told the "Securities Daily" reporter that from the perspective of the user side, the attractiveness of holiday wealth management products has also declined. There is more rigor and a wider selection of investment assets.

Small and medium banks are slightly positive

Compared with the general "coldness" of large banks, small and medium-sized banks are relatively positive.

The reporter noticed that many small and medium-sized banks have launched activities to recommend financial products for the Dragon Boat Festival.

For example, Zijin Rural Commercial Bank released the "Dragon Boat Festival Hotspot Wealth Management Recommendation", and launched 5 recommended wealth management products in the atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival; Weifang Bank also listed a number of key recommended wealth management products during the Dragon Boat Festival, and the fundraising period is generally on June 1 between June 6 and June 6.

For the wealth management products launched by small and medium-sized banks during the Dragon Boat Festival, the starting point for customer investment is mostly 10,000 yuan, and the product cycle is generally dominated by long-term investment.

When talking about the reasons for the difference in banks' attitudes towards holiday wealth management products, Yang Haiping believes that small and medium-sized banks are more pressured to attract savings than large state-owned banks, and their customer resources are relatively small. They are more willing to issue holiday wealth management products to attract customers to expand customers. source.

He suggested that investors should do a good job of personal risk tolerance assessment and test, and choose products that are compatible with personal risk tolerance. In addition, they need to make choices based on personal financial resources and liquidity needs.

Yu Baicheng, Dean of Zero One Research Institute, agreed with the above statement, "Compared with small and medium-sized banks, large banks have relatively more customer resources and more diversified means of replenishing capital. Therefore, large banks attract customers by promoting holiday wealth management. , The willingness to expand customer sources is weaker than that of small and medium-sized banks." He suggested that in the context of the net worth of wealth management products, investors should choose the risk level of wealth management products, institutional investment and research capabilities and the performance of fund managers.

For holiday financial management with spare money, you can choose cash management products with flexible terms, and pay attention to purchase in advance to enjoy holiday benefits.
