The
average price of fuel in Spain
has once again behaved unevenly this week, since while gasoline has continued to rise and has set a new historical record,
diesel
has continued to fall for the third consecutive week and
is once again cheaper
than in the average of the EU countries.
According to data from the European Union Petroleum Bulletin, compared to a year ago, without taking into account the discount of 20 cents, gasoline is 45.7% more expensive and diesel, more affected by the war in Ukraine, 52.8%.
Specifically, the average price of gasoline this week in Spain is
1.968 euros per liter
, which represents an increase of 1.44% compared to 1.94 euros the previous week.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, it has risen 23.6% and has now risen for
six weeks.

For its part, that of diesel is
1,852 euros per liter,
0.8% lower than the 1,867 euros of the last reference.

With the prices of the last week, filling a 55-liter tank of gasoline costs 108.24 euros, one euro and 54 cents more than the previous week, while a tank of a diesel vehicle entails an expense of 101.86 euros , 83 cents less than in the last reference.

The average price of both fuels in Spain is still
below the average for the euro zone,
where the retail price of a liter of gasoline was set at 2.074 euros per liter and that of diesel at 1.895 euros.
