He made the corresponding statement addressing his Kazakh counterpart Alikhan Smailov at the talks in Moscow.

“We sincerely value our friendship, good neighborly relations, alliance with Kazakhstan.

This is especially important in the current difficult conditions caused by illegal unilateral sanctions of unfriendly states against Russia," TASS quoted him as saying.

Mishustin also stressed that Moscow considers expanding trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan as a priority.

According to the Prime Minister, in 2021 "mutual trade reached a record level and exceeded $25 billion."

Earlier, Mishustin said that Russia, under the sanctions, managed to ensure the stability of the economy and the balance of the ruble exchange rate.
