A pilot group trip before resuming acceptance of foreign tourists revealed that one of the visitors from Thailand to Oita Prefecture was infected with the new coronavirus.

According to the Japan Tourism Agency, the tour of the group including this guest has been canceled, but the policy of resuming acceptance from 10th next month remains unchanged.

The infection with the new coronavirus was confirmed by one of the guests who visited from Thailand on the 27th of this month on a trial group trip of the Japan Tourism Agency and stayed in Oita prefecture.

According to the Japan Tourism Agency, the tourist complained of sore throat on the 30th, and as a result of undergoing an antigen test at a medical institution, it was confirmed that he was infected with the new coronavirus.

The guest was in a group of four in total, but the Japan Tourism Agency has canceled the tour for this group.

The infected guest's symptoms were mild, and he entered a hotel for lodging, and the other three guests who accompanied him were waiting at another hotel, claiming to be close contacts.

There is no change in the policy of resuming acceptance of foreign tourists only for tour guides with tour guides from next month, and this time the tour guide took a series of measures, so the Japan Tourism Agency was infected. I would like to create guidelines for travel agencies in case of doubt.
