“As of the end of the working day on May 30 (the payment deadline stipulated by the contract), Gazprom Export has not received payment from GasTerra for gas supplies in April,” Gazprom said in a statement.

As specified, Gazprom Export notified the Dutch side of the suspension of gas supplies from May 31 until payment is made in accordance with the conditions of Russia.

According to information published on the Gazprom Export website, GasTerra is the main partner of the Russian company in the Netherlands, Russian natural gas supplies to the country are carried out on the basis of a long-term contract.

It was concluded in September 2000 for 20 years and subsequently extended until October 1, 2022.

On May 30, the Dutch company GasTerra decided not to comply with the requirements of Gazprom to pay for gas in rubles.

Earlier, Russia stopped gas supplies to Finland.

The Finnish Ministry of Employment and Economy noted that the reason was Helsinki's refusal to pay for gas in rubles.

On April 27, Gazprom announced a complete suspension of gas supplies to the Bulgarian Bulgargaz and the Polish PGNiG due to non-payment in rubles.
