His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, presided over the 70th meeting of the council, which was held remotely, in the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Council, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer.

The meeting discussed several topics, most notably a review of the current situation of the petroleum products trading market and the regulation of district cooling services. In addition to motivating distributors to abide by the conditions approved by the Supreme Council of Energy, it also contributed to the establishment of a supportive organizational structure to regulate the sector by unifying procedures with distributors as a result of the cooperation of approved national companies.

He added: “In line with the decision of His Highness the President of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy No. 3 of 2021 regarding regulating the circulation of liquefied petroleum gas in the Emirate of Dubai, a governance system aimed at regulating the liquefied petroleum gas sector has been activated by motivating distributors to abide by the approved laws, which were It has a positive impact in this sector.” He continued:

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Energy, Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, said: “During the meeting, the members were briefed on Dubai Executive Council Resolution No. (6) of 2021 regulating the provision of district cooling service in the Emirate of Dubai, and an additional package of executive procedures was adopted to organize the services of District cooling and the relationship between service providers and consumers within the framework of regulating this vital sector.

He added: "After holding consultative meetings with the competent authorities, we have reached the final stages of completing the system of guiding regulations to improve the performance of the efficiency of operations of central cooling plants, and to reach the ideal cost to ensure the happiness of consumers."

The meeting was attended by Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General of the Council, and members of the Council were Daoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, Abdullah bin Kalban, Managing Director of Emirates Global Aluminium, and CEO of ENOC Group, Saif Humaid Al Falasi, and Director General of Dubai Petroleum, Juan Friel. and Executive Director of the Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector at the Roads and Transport Authority, Nasser Boushehab.
