A demonstration experiment aimed at commercializing a new service that supports the opening of mobile stores using cars began on the 27th in Tokyo.

This demonstration experiment will be conducted by Sumitomo Corporation, a major trading company, in the outdoor space of a department store in Shibuya, Tokyo, for three days from the 27th.

Mobile stores are becoming more popular mainly at restaurants affected by the Korona-ka and online shopping businesses that do not have permanent stores, but it can take time and effort to secure cars and places. It has become an issue.

For this reason, in this experiment, we will verify a new service in which the trading company undertakes all the necessary preparations for opening a store, such as arranging trucks to be used as a store, adjusting the location to open a store, and preparing digital signboards and desks to be used for sales. ..

By using this system, it is possible to shorten the period from opening a store, which is generally required for one to two months, to about two weeks, so Sumitomo Corporation will commercialize it during FY2024. I am aiming.

Hiroko Seko, a company that operates a mail-order site for Japanese sweets that participated in the experiment, said, "With this service, you can easily open a store anywhere, so I am grateful to a business like us who does not have a store." I was talking.

In addition, Sumitomo Corporation's Anka Morita said, "We would like to expand the places where we can open stores such as office buildings and residential areas while utilizing the network of general trading companies to meet the needs of businesses."
