Due to the soaring prices of LNG = liquefied natural gas and coal, which are fuels for thermal power generation, against the backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the electricity prices of the 10 companies are at the highest level in the past five years that can be compared.



Compared to June, the price increase of each company is


▽ TEPCO is the largest, and the electricity rate will increase by 306 yen to 8871 yen for the average household.

▽ Hokkaido Electric Power will increase by 299 yen to 8763 yen,


▽ Chubu Electric Power will increase by 260 yen to 8516 yen, and

So far, Hokuriku Electric Power, Kansai Electric Power, Chugoku Electric Power, Shikoku Electric Power, Okinawa Electric Power, and Tohoku Electric Power have reached the upper limit, but from July, Kyushu Electric Power has also reached this upper limit.

July gas prices increase at all four major companies

In addition, the gas price for July will also increase at all four major gas companies due to the soaring price of LNG = liquefied natural gas.
