“The GTS operator of Ukraine has agreed with the Hungarian operator FGSZ to extend access to guaranteed capacities for the import of natural gas from Hungary to Ukraine until March 31, 2023,” the text of the official statement of the Ukrainian operator on Facebook* reads.

Earlier, the GTS Operator of Ukraine announced the termination of gas transit through Sokhranivka from May 11.

The head of the German Ministry of Economy, Robert Habek, expressed hope that Ukraine would find a way to restore gas supplies in full after the suspension of transit through Sokhranivka.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis believes that stopping the transit of Russian gas and oil through Ukraine would solve the problem of the oil embargo, to which Hungary does not agree.
