Zhongxin Finance, May 26. On the 26th, Tinghua Wine Industry's official Weibo issued a statement in response to being sued by Maotai and Luzhou Laojiao.

Tinghua Wine said that according to the agreement with Baidu, the promotional information provided by Tinghua Wine does not contain any content that violates relevant national laws and regulations, and is in line with Baidu's relevant policies and regulations.

Tinghua Wine Industry said that on May 20, it learned on the Internet that it was sued by Maotai and Luzhou Laojiao, and immediately went to the court to collect relevant documents.

Prior to this, the company had not received relevant communication documents or lawyers' letters, and was completely unaware of this.

According to the statement, Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. and Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit against Tinghua Wine Industry and filed a case at the same time on May 9. The case numbers are (2022) Chuan 15 Zhi Min Chu No. 122 and No. 123.

The reason is that in about two weeks from mid-September to early October 2021, when the above two companies searched on Baidu with the keywords "Maotai" and "Guojiao 1573", Tinghuajiu appeared on the webpage. Therefore, it is believed that Tinghua Wine Industry is suspected of infringing the trademark rights and unfair competition of "Moutai" and "Guojiao 1573".

In this regard, Maotai claimed 500,000 yuan, and Luzhou Laojiao claimed 300,000 yuan.

Tinghua Wine Industry said that Tinghua Wine Industry had signed an agreement with Chengdu Baidu Technology Co., Ltd. and conducted a two-week promotion service test on the Baidu platform in early September 2021.

According to the agreement with Baidu, the promotional information provided by Tinghua Wine Industry does not contain any content that violates relevant national laws and regulations, and conforms to relevant Baidu policies and regulations.

At present, Tinghua Wine Industry is understanding the details and preparing to respond to the lawsuit, and I believe that the law will have a fair judgment.

This incident does not affect the production and operation of Tinghua Wine.

In addition, Tinghua Wine Industry said that since Tinghua started brand promotion last year, there have been a lot of false and negative information on the Internet, causing trouble and harm to the Tinghua brand.

The company's legal department has started to understand whether there is an organized and planned attack on Tinghua, and has collected and sorted out relevant evidence, and reserves the right to pursue legal responsibilities of relevant publishers and distributors in accordance with the law.
