According to the British "Daily Mail" report on the 24th, the contradiction between billionaire Elon Musk and Bill Gates has escalated again recently.

The reason is that an American media said that Bill Gates has invested huge sums of money to fund some organizations, and these organizations are calling to block Musk's acquisition of the American social media giant Twitter.

"Sigh," Musk tweeted on Tuesday, before tweeting again, "What a disgusting move."

This was in response to an article by the American far-right news site Breitbart.

Bill Gates' charitable foundation has donated "hundreds of millions of dollars" to numerous NGOs that are pushing for a boycott that would lobby for advertising if Twitter was bought by Musk, the article said. Businesses boycott the Twitter platform.

The article said that 26 organizations agreed to participate in the operation and signed an open letter. The Gates Foundation made donations to 11 of the 26 organizations, and through a new organization it described as "dark money". The New Venture Fund and the Tides Foundation distribute the funds.

"Dark money" organizations are those money laundering organizations that finance illicit activities or covert political activities.

The two billionaires, Musk and Gates, have had multiple feuds before.

Bill Gates said earlier this month that it was unclear whether Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter would bring positive changes to the social platform, according to a previous report by the New York Post.

Gates believes the move could make the problem of widespread disinformation on Twitter worse.

Speaking at the CEO Council Forum Summit hosted by The Wall Street Journal in the United States, Gates said: “He (Musk) may actually make things worse. SpaceX's results are very encouraging...I'm a little skeptical that (such success) will happen this time around. However, we should keep an open mind and never underestimate Elon. What is his goal? When he talks about (social media), what does he have to say about 'vaccines kill people' or 'Bill Gates is monitoring people', and does he think such rhetoric should be spread?"

Musk admitted in a tweet in April that he had asked Bill Gates if he had shorted Tesla stock, according to CNBC.

"I've heard from multiple TED guys that Gates still has a $500 million short Tesla position, that's why I asked him, so it's not top secret," Musk tweeted.

Musk later mocked Gates on Twitter, placing a photo of the Microsoft co-founder with a big belly alongside a "pregnant man" emoji and saying "you need to lose weight fast."

The New York Post reported at the time that Gates downplayed the dispute when asked about Musk's tweets.

"It doesn't bother him," he told the moderator of the CEO Council Forum event.
