In the running for the Europe 1 listeners' favorite trophy, Divertimento, a symphony orchestra founded by the conductor, Zahia Ziouani, highlights diversity
Divertimento is a major symphony orchestra founded in 1998 in Seine-Saint-Denis by Zahia Ziouani, conductor who became director of the musical ensemble.
She surrounds herself with talented musicians from Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis, thus giving birth to the orchestra.
Since 2005, Divertimento has been based in Stains.
Zahia Ziouani with her Divertimento orchestra is in the running with Ethypik, Reverto, We Can Doo in the listeners' favorite category of the Europe 1 Future Trophies 2022.

Raising awareness and training young people in music and culture
Zahia Ziouani is committed to creation alongside young composers, the training deploys as close as possible to the most diverse audiences (children, students, families, prisoners, migrants) and carries out its mission of transmission through its projects and workshops, raising young people's awareness of culture, training the musical talents of tomorrow.
Divertimento gives more than 50 concerts a year: "Cities all over France have asked us to participate in the development of culture […] whether in urban areas, in rural areas and also in prisons", explains Zahia Ziouani.
Divertimento has become a unique model in France for associating a dynamic of concerts throughout the country with actions allowing the public to discover symphonic music and young musicians to train within the framework of the Divertimento Academy, created in 2008.
Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Combining music and sport
The Divertimento orchestra aims to create a large concert hall in Seine-Saint-Denis and to become a stakeholder in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. "The orchestra wants to hold its place to offer beautiful shows, beautiful moments that combine music and sport to bring people together, to bring together all the cultures of the world in this event. And all this in music", adds Zahia Ziouani.
