“Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the measures adopted in 2022 by the member states of the World Trade Organization to restrict trade with the Russian Federation for their compliance with the rules and principles of this Organization,” the instruction to the government says on the Kremlin’s website.

The Cabinet was also instructed to submit proposals for Russia to challenge such measures within the framework of the organization and "to update the strategy of Russia's participation" in the WTO.

Earlier, Putin instructed the government to prepare by July 1, 2022 an updated strategy for Russia's actions in the WTO in connection with the sanctions pressure.
