The G7 = Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting of the Seven Major Countries in Germany agreed to expand financial support to Ukraine and continue to impose strict sanctions on Russia.

The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting, held near Bonn in western Germany, closed on the night of the 20th of Japan time and issued a joint statement.

At this conference, the G7 agreed to strengthen its support for Ukraine, which is undergoing a military invasion from Russia, and to support the lives of its citizens, it will provide financial support of $ 19.8 billion, or about 2 in Japanese yen. It will be expanded to 5.5 trillion yen.

Japan has also announced that it will double its cofinancing with the World Bank to $ 600 million and will implement it by next month.

The statement also emphasizes its willingness to continue strict economic sanctions, saying it will increase the price of the war by isolating Russia from the world economy.

At a press conference, Finance Minister Suzuki said, "Russia's actions are a one-sided change in the status quo by force, and in the process they are slaughtering innocent citizens, including women and children, and cannot be forgiven. It cannot be overlooked with the consciousness of fire on the opposite bank, "he emphasized the significance of strengthening sanctions in collaboration with G7 countries.

Amid concerns about a prolonged military invasion and a slowdown in the world economy, the G7 unity was strongly sought before the summit meeting next month, but even frameworks such as the G20, which includes China and India, which are in different positions, will face Russia. The challenge is to be able to increase the pressure.
