"Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation": facilitating the procedures for ratifications for the trade and business sector

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation initiated the establishment of a comprehensive system to adopt and implement one of the most important ministerial decisions regarding ratifications. It launched an integrated system with the various concerned authorities in the country to improve the customer experience and enhance and facilitate business within a package of changes, including digital transformation in line with the directions of the UAE government.

The new system contributes to improving the global ease of business index through the total automation of services, while the ministry is working on drawing new parameters to serve the certifications provided to customers from entrepreneurs and companies to facilitate their tasks and raise the quality of service in line with their business requirements, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Bank The Central Bank, the Federal Customs Authority and local customs departments in the first phase.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is keen on integration and cooperation with various government agencies in the country to improve the performance and level of services provided, as it works to improve the customer experience to ensure the flow and continuity of the work of the electronic authentication mechanism by involving customers in the service experience.

In order to initiate cooperation frameworks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology so that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will review the certification fees submitted to investors in the industrial sector, in order to provide certification services to factories through the digital services platform of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, based on the principles of integration. Cooperating and employing the prominent Emirati diplomatic capabilities to reflect the investment environment and the possibilities that attract investors, as well as upgrading the services provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to clients.

The new system also contributes to regulating and facilitating some banking procedures related to trade through the ministry's cooperation with state banks in agreement with the UAE Central Bank to enhance the use of the service and implement relevant decisions.

The next phase will witness ease of digital authentication services for customers in general, which depends on ease of access and speed of procedures, and will achieve a benefit of strategic dimensions to the economy in the UAE, as the digital transformation of services enhances the competitive environment that stimulates the attraction of business owners, competencies and talents around the world.
