  [Explanation] Banchangyu Village, Zhucaoying Town, Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province develops characteristic breeding with sika deer, and extends the industrial chain to develop a series of products such as venison dumplings, fresh antlers, etc., to revitalize the countryside and enrich the "deer" .                       

  Recently, when I walked into the Sika Deer Ecological Culture Park in Banchangyu Village, Zhucaoying Town, I heard deer humming from time to time. 53-year-old Xie Weifu was feeding the sika deer with quince leaves.

Xie Weifu told reporters that a year ago he was still herding sheep in the village, not only working hard but also not earning much money.

Nowadays, working in the ecological park is not only a lot easier, but also has an income of more than 5,000 yuan per month.

  [Same period] Xie Weifu, a staff member of Qinhuangdao Luerbao Sika Deer Ecological Culture Park: I don't feel tired and panic. The salary is quite decent, and the salary is not low. I think it's pretty good.

  [Explanation] The Sika Deer Ecological Culture Park where Xie Weifu is located was built by the local Shi Jingmin.

In 2004, Shi Jingmin found that Banchangyu Village has a quiet environment, excellent water quality, and quince leaf resources that are all over the mountains and fields, which are very suitable for sika deer breeding, so he invested in building a farm here.

Shi Jingmin recalled that the road to farming was not smooth at first.

  [Same period] Shi Jingmin, head of Qinhuangdao Luerbao Sika Deer Ecological Culture Park: (at that time) 160 deer were raised together. At that time, the market price of deer was 7,000 and (to) 8,000 yuan apiece, and then raised for a year Half, 76 died.

  [Explanation] In the following years, Shi Jingmin encountered the "cold winter" of breeding sika deer again. The deer that entered the market for seven or eight thousand yuan could only be sold for about 1,200 yuan when it was released. With the feeding fee, a deer lost nearly 10,000 yuan. Yuan, with the support of his family, Shi Jingmin did not give up.

Until 2012, at the suggestion of a friend, he went to other places for investigation and research many times, changed the sales model of single breeding, established a company, built his own brand, and determined the development route of deep processing of deer products.

  [Explanation] Shi Jingmin introduced that in recent years, the sika deer market has ushered in a "warming period". He seized the opportunity of development and built a sika deer ecological cultural park and sightseeing park, attracting tens of thousands of tourists every year.

The Cultural Park has driven more than 100 local villagers to find employment during the peak employment period, and each villager has an average direct income of 9,000 yuan per year.

Not only that, Shi Jingmin also buys corn from surrounding villages at a price higher than the market price every year as feed for sika deer.
