A majority of European EV drivers (72%) agree that mass adoption of EVs is essential to protect the environment, but more than half (55%) are concerned about the lack of accessibility to charging infrastructure.

According to EV drivers, the most important factor for mass adoption of EVs would be improved battery range, followed by reduction in the initial purchase cost of an electric vehicle and better availability of charging points.

In addition, only a third of respondents say that the terminals available on the motorways offer the charging speed they need, a figure which drops to one in five for shops and places of accommodation.

In addition, 65% of European drivers would go to certain places more frequently depending on the availability of charging, and more than half (54%) of them say that the availability of charging stations influences the choice of places for their purchases as well as their travels.
