(Reporter Sun Hongyang) A citizen recently inquired whether the "Notice on Continuing to Delay the Use of Some Passenger Car Indicators" is still being implemented?

The reporter learned from the transportation department that the measures to postpone the use of the indicators are still being implemented.

Citizen Mr. Cheng consulted, and his "Beijing Personal Passenger Car Update Indicator Confirmation Notice" showed that he would complete the vehicle update procedures before mid-May 2022.

"Due to the epidemic, I can't go out and choose a car." Mr. Cheng worried that if he didn't apply for it overdue, the indicator would be invalid.

The relevant staff of the Municipal Transportation Commission replied that according to the "Notice on Continuing to Delay the Use of Some Passenger Car Indicators", the expiration date of the passenger car indicator is from January 24, 2020 to 60 days after the city's response to major public health emergencies is lifted The holder of the indicator can complete the vehicle registration procedures within 120 days after the date of cancellation.

At present, the city has not yet lifted its response to public health emergencies, and measures to extend the use of indicators are still being implemented.

That is to say, citizens, enterprises and institutions whose expiration date of the small passenger car indicator is valid on or after January 24, 2020 do not need to apply for additional indicators.

After the city lifts its response to major public health emergencies, the website of the passenger car indicator regulation and management information system will promptly release the relevant notice to stop extending the service period of some passenger car indicators.
