Today, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd., established in 1982, focuses on three major industrial sectors: shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment repair and construction, wood processing and wood and bamboo manufacturing, new energy equipment manufacturing and modern services, with an annual shipbuilding capacity of 2.4 million DWT .
The battery industry cluster led by Ningde Times New Energy also provides a good foundation for Fujian to vigorously develop the electric ship industry.

Relying on the solid foundation of the shipbuilding industry, the growing new energy power battery industry and the diversified application scenarios of coastal, rivers, and lakes in the province, Fujian planned to develop the electric ship industry earlier in China, and regarded it as the realization of "dual carbon".
