Data show that on May 6, the industry-wide mail collection volume reached 316 million pieces, an increase of 2.9% over the previous day; the delivery volume reached 302 million pieces, an increase of 0.3% over the previous day.
Since the end of February this year, the epidemic situation in China has been characterized by multiple, wide-ranging and frequent occurrences. The normal operation of the postal express industry has undergone severe tests, and some links have encountered blockages. The collection and delivery volume of postal express mail has declined. In the areas where the epidemic occurred, the production and operation sites of the industry were closed, employees were quarantined, and there was a backlog of mail and express mail, and the service network was not running smoothly for a time.
Since April 10, the State Post Bureau has started the work of ensuring the smooth flow of the postal express delivery industry.
The collection volume and delivery volume of Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Fujian, Zhejiang and other places have increased significantly.
The nationwide outage distribution center and the backlog of express mail have dropped significantly, and the cumulative number of postal express vehicle passes has exceeded 153,000.
In Changchun City, Jilin Province, since April 24, the express distribution centers of major brands have resumed work one after another, and all have resumed normal operation.
The postal express industry in Shanxi Province has basically resumed normal operation.
