When tea and tourism sparked a spark, the integration of tea and tourism stimulated new vitality of consumption and found a new path for economic development.

  Good mountain produces good tea

  The white sand mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the tea is fragrant in four seasons.

  Two rows of old-fashioned rubber processing factories have been repainted and are now the headquarters base of Hainan Natural Tea Co., Ltd. The buildings that were originally going to be abandoned have been renovated and used in just a few years, giving birth to a new star enterprise.

  Walking into the door of the company, several medals on the display cabinet of tea products are particularly eye-catching.

"Our tea has good taste and high quality, and the market is in short supply. Everyone is very optimistic about the development prospects of the company." Whenever someone visits, the company's general manager Tang Shi always loves to introduce the company's "Meeting Tea" brand tea to the guests. The two gold medals won in the International Dingcheng Tea King Competition is particularly difficult for a tea company that has recently started.

  In 2016, with a strong interest in tea culture and confidence in the Baisha organic tea industry, Tang Shi co-founded this tea company with Hainan Rubber Company.

  All beginnings are hard.

From individual combat to team building, from lack of factory buildings to reconstruction according to local conditions, Tang Shi and his team gradually launched the brand of "Meeting Crater Tea".

Tang Shi said that if you are optimistic about Baisha, you are optimistic about the special geographical location and climatic conditions here. This is also the "core magic weapon" for "Meeting Crater Tea" to win the market.

  Baisha Li Autonomous County is located in the west-central part of Hainan Island, and the local tea cultivation has a long history.

Among them, the Niushan Basin, which is rich in green tea, is thought to coincide with an asteroid crater that landed 700,000 years ago.

These historical origins have made Baisha and Meteor Crater unique symbols in the Hainan tea brand.

  Not only that, the tea garden soil in Baisha County includes red red soil, purple sand soil, yellow soil, etc. The tea produced has the characteristics of beautiful appearance, pleasant aroma and soft taste, which is very popular among consumers.

In addition, there is almost no winter in Baisha, and there is less rain. Spring tea arrives early in late November every year, and the tea season can be long throughout the year.

  "There are good reasons. We believe that high investment and strict management will definitely bring good harvests." Along the winding mountain road, Tang Shi introduced the management secrets of organic tea gardens to reporters. All pesticides are used for artificial weeding. The temperature in Hainan is high, in order to cope with the dry weather and strengthen the water supply for the tea gardens, we have specially excavated several ponds to store water, and all the tea gardens have been equipped with sprinkler irrigation facilities.”

The tea mountain in front of you stretches from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain like a terraced field, and the tea farmers are chatting and laughing in the tea garden picking tea leaves.

Liao Hongyun, a tea farmer, has been working here since the establishment of the tea garden. Now she can pick more than 10 catties of fresh leaves every day and earn more than 4,000 yuan per month.

"We work in front of the house, and we can take care of the family." Liao Hongyun said that she admired the strict management of the tea garden the most. "The tea garden specializes in composting organic fertilizers to raise tea leaves, and the quality of such tea must be good!"

  Strict planting management of organic tea gardens requires more material and labor costs. Natural Tea Company invests nearly 10 million yuan in tea planting, cultivation and labor construction every year.

"Our tea trees grew up 'eating seafood'. It's strange!" Tang Shi introduced that by digging trenches between the tea ridges to bury fish and shrimp and other seafood, and fermenting sheep dung, soybean meal, peanut cakes, etc., to make tea trees Supplementing nutrients can better increase the content of soil organic matter, which also creates the unique taste and quality of Baisha "Meeting Crater Tea".

At present, "Meeting Crater Tea" has been certified by China, the European Union, the United States, Japan and the International Rainforest Alliance, and will continue to strive to become a landmark product of Baisha tea in the future.

  String up the tea industry

  April 30 is the first day of the "May 1st" small holiday. The Wuli Road Organic Tea Garden in Baisha Yacha Town welcomed the first batch of tourists.

After entering the organic tea garden, Lu Rui, a tourist from Inner Mongolia, praised it again and again, and immediately recommended it to his friends and relatives in the circle of friends: "The whole tea garden is like a green ocean, and there is fresh air blowing in. It's really beautiful!"

  Picking tea leaves, feeding pigeons, walking on stilts, tasting long table feasts, fishing... At the Wuli Road Organic Tea Garden, tourists had a lot of fun.

As an authentic Baisha Li nationality girl, Fu Xiaofang has set up a tea cooperative with 5 local farmers since 2008, and cultivated 22 acres of tea fields on the gentle slope about 2.5 kilometers away from Baisha Meteor Crater, named "Wuli" Road Tea Garden".

With the expansion and construction of ecological tea gardens, more and more tourists have come to visit, and tea gardens have also begun to explore the road of integrated development of tea and tourism.

  Gradually, tasting organic tea, eating Lijia dishes, and staying at homestays in tea gardens have become new choices for tourists to experience the fun of tea gardens.

One of the few wooden bungalows is "hard to find a room" when it comes to holidays.

"You can pick mature longans from the balcony of the homestay, and you can enjoy the starry sky when you open the skylight. These special projects are very attractive to tourists." Wang Jianjun, the manager of the tea garden, introduced that not only that, but also near the Wuli Road Tea Rhythm Shared Farm. Nearly a thousand longan trees and lychee trees have been favored by tourists since the adoption campaign was launched in 2019, and most of the fruit trees have been adopted.

Every time when the fruit is ripe, everyone is invited to come and experience the picking, and the tea garden will usher in a new climax of tourism.

It is understood that Wuli Road Organic Tea Garden will receive a total of 48,091 tourists in 2021, an increase of about 2.5 times compared with the reception volume in 2021; a total of 16,093 tourists were received in the first three months of this year.

  In recent years, based on the superior ecological environment and climatic conditions, Baisha has vigorously developed tropical high-efficiency characteristic industries such as rubber-based, green tea and southern medicine "two thousand mu" and "six thousand mu" of red heart orange, coffee, and mountain orchid rice.
